WordPress-Based Website for the Finnish Grocery Trade’s Self-Monitoring Guidelines

The Finnish Grocery Trade Association (PTY) is a national trade organization representing companies operating in Finland’s grocery trade sector. PTY’s member companies account for approximately 96% of the Finnish grocery market, including major retailers such as S Group, K Group, Lidl Finland, and Tokmanni. PTY’s mission is to influence the industry’s operating environment, promote responsibility and competitiveness, and support the development of regulation in the sector. It also provides its members with timely guidance and leads initiatives that support food safety and sustainability—such as the development of self-monitoring guidelines.
A Digital Platform for Self-Monitoring Guidelines
Mediasignal designed and implemented a new WordPress-based platform for PTY’s updated self-monitoring guidelines. The goal was to create a modern, user-friendly digital service that simplifies the maintenance of comprehensive instructions and enables the effective distribution of important regulatory information to stakeholders in the grocery sector.
The platform allows individual stores to supplement the general guidelines with store-specific instructions. Additionally, all relevant sections of the guidelines can be downloaded for local use in each retail location.

This new platform plays a key role in supporting Finnish retailers and their staff in ensuring food safety, quality, and proper handling throughout the entire supply chain.
