Antti-Teollisuus Oy, based in Kuusjoki, Salo, is a modern and international metal manufacturing company. Antti specializes in grain dryers and cabin doors for cruise ships, with the majority of its products exported to global markets.
An Application That Automatically Generates Customer-Specific Installation Instructions
Antti-Teollisuus had long faced a challenge: installation manuals for their highly modular grain dryers were shared across all configuration variants of a given model. As a result, the manuals were unnecessarily long and often included over 30% of irrelevant instructions that did not apply to the specific version ordered by the customer.
Mediasignal solved the issue by developing a custom application that automatically generates delivery-specific installation manuals, based on the delivery list imported from the company’s ERP system.
The result is a tailored manual that contains only the installation instructions for the modules and components included in the specific delivery. This generation logic has since been expanded to other Antti-Teollisuus products, such as silos. Manuals can be produced in both Finnish and English, and the component lists are always up to date, as they are pulled directly from the ERP.
The functionality is based on product data from the ERP, enriched in the PIM system with installation documentation and images. Mediasignal provided the PIM solution, integrated it with the ERP, and developed the application that automatically generates PDF-format manuals based on customer orders.
This solution has significantly streamlined manual maintenance at Antti-Teollisuus and speeds up installation processes for customers by providing precisely tailored, up-to-date documentation for each delivery.
